Maya Raichoora is redefining what mental performance looks like for leaders, athletes, and creators. As the UK’s number one mental fitness and visualization expert and Nike’s first ever Mental Fitness Trainer, she is proving that mindset is not just a skill but a competitive advantage.

Through her book VISUALISE, her global keynotes, and her work with top brands such as Nike, Amex, Asics, Lego, and Barclays, Maya is building what she calls “the Nike of mental fitness.”

Who Is Maya Raichoora?

Maya is an international keynote speaker, author, and high impact performance coach known for helping CEOs, founders, visionaries, and elite athletes build champion level mental resilience.

Her work focuses on mental fitness, visualization, performance neuroscience, and self talk mastery. She teaches individuals and teams how to create the internal script that drives confidence, clarity, and calm under pressure.

Her mission?

“To build the Nike of mental fitness and teach the world how to create a stronger mind through intentional thoughts, visualization, and daily mental training.”

Today she delivers monthly mental fitness sessions, works one to one with high performing leaders, trains global organizations, and speaks on the world’s biggest stages.

From Illness to Inner Strength

Maya’s journey began long before she ever coached a CEO or trained an Olympian. She was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an incurable inflammatory bowel disease that caused intense physical pain and emotional distress. At her lowest point, she struggled not only with her health but also with her identity and mental stability.

Then something shifted.

Through visualization, deliberate mental rehearsal, and a deep commitment to rewiring her internal dialogue, Maya rebuilt her sense of self. She found clarity, strength, and a renewed purpose.

Visualization changed her life. Now she teaches that exact practice to others.

Mission: Mental Fitness for the World

Maya’s vision is bold and crystal clear. She aims to build the global standard for mental fitness training. Her approach is accessible, science backed, and designed for the realities of high pressure environments.

Her offerings include:

• Monthly Mental Fitness Live sessions

• One to one coaching for CEOs, founders, athletes, and high performers

• Corporate mental fitness programs for global brands

• International keynote speeches on mental fitness, confidence, and visualization

Her work is designed to help people shift from negative self talk to a performance identity. She teaches individuals how to interrupt old mental scripts, install new ones, and train their mind the same way athletes train their bodies.

Her philosophy is simple.

Your thoughts and words become your tools or your weapons. You get to choose which version you pick up each day.

Themes and Message Pillars

1. Self Talk as the Foundation of Performance

Maya believes that your inner dialogue determines your outcomes. Confidence is not a personality trait. It is the result of the sentences you repeat, the identity you practice, and the narrative you rehearse daily.

2. Visualization as Mental Rehearsal

She teaches leaders and athletes how to visualize their upgraded self: how they move, think, respond, and decide. The brain follows the image you rehearse more than the mistakes you fear.

3. Noticing as a Path to Happiness

Maya explains that happiness is not found in achievements. It is built by noticing more: the quiet moments, the subtle joy, the daily gratitude we often ignore.

4. Mental Fitness as a Trainable Skill

Like physical fitness, mental fitness requires reps. You get stronger through repetition, practice, and consistency. It is not magic. It is training.

I watched one of the worlds top 20 tennis players destroy her performance with one sentence. You might be doing it too: During her match at the French open She kept hitting balls into the net. Frustrated. Tense. Shaking her head. After each point, she turned to her coach and said: “I just can’t play today.” She said it 12 times in 20 minutes. Her words became her reality. Her body followed her mind. Her game followed her self-talk. You could actually see her performance decline with every repetition. Even when she started to win a few points… The moment she made another mistake - boom - right back to victim mode And once again started saying “I can’t play today.” Just like that, her energy dropped. Her belief vanished. Eventually, she lost the match. And honestly? I wasn’t surprised. It wasn’t her fitness or technique thet let her down. It was her inner dialogue. At this level, atheltes (and high performers) NEED to have these skills mastered. But so many still don’t. Some key takeaways for all of us: 1. Your self talk defines your performance. - whether you’re on court, in a boardroom or facing a tough meeting- what you say to yourself matters. It’s the engine driving every decision, reaction, and moment under pressure. 2. Negative self talk isn’t harmless. - repeating ‘I can’t’ wires your brain to believe Your body listens. So does your performance. 3. Mental fitness is a skill - just like physical fitness, it needs training. - it’s the difference between good performance and exceptional perfomance. This is exactly why I spend so much time on self-talk with my clients. Because the most important conversation you have is the one with yourself. How would you rate your self talk out of 10? | 119 comments on LinkedIn

5 Simple Swaps to Boost Performance | Maya Raichoora posted on the topic | LinkedIn
5 tiny swaps that will 10x Your Performance (you can start right now): 1. Time management → Energy management - Stop only obsessing over hours. Focus on what drains you and what lights you up. - Work on your most important tasks during high energy peaks, and protect them fiercely. - Results soar when energy aligns with effort. 2. Feedback avoidance → Feedback hunting - Stop fearing criticism. Seek it actively. - Ask colleagues, mentors, or friends: “What’s one thing I could do better?” And “What’s one thing I did really well” - Every piece of feedback is a shortcut to growth. 3. To-do list → To-be list - Stop just checking boxes. Focus on the person you want to be each day. - Instead of “Finish 5 tasks,” try: “Be curious, decisive, generous.” - Your identity drives performance more than any task list. 4. Fail → Fall - Stop treating failure as a verdict. Treat it as falling. - You fell. You get up. You learn. - Resilience builds in the getting up, not the falling. 5. Perfection → Progress - Stop waiting for perfect. Progress beats perfection every time. - Ship imperfect work, iterate, and build momentum. - Momentum compounds; perfection paralyzes. Small swaps. Huge results. Try one today and notice how differently your day unfolds when you shift your focus. Number 2 and 4 have been game changers for me. Which one are you going to try? ♻️ repost to help someone else P.s I only have 1 space left for coaching.
